Is anyone else sick of the defeatist attitude of liberals in relation to the War on Terror and Iraq? These guys remind me of the French legislature after the defeat at Dien Bien Phu in 1954, when French communists actually applauded the defeat of their own army.

I'm always repelled by pessimism.

Today on CNN I saw a report about a bunch of Libs apologizing to "the world" because US voters elected Bush. They said, "We're sorry" and "We did our best". All they are doing is reinforcing impressions in voters minds that Libs are dangerous and morally bankrupt. Let them appeal to foreign appeasers like the French government. Let them appeal to lazy socialist whiners in Europe.

Let them rant
Let them whine
Let them cry and let them lie

"We the people" are strong and fit
We've elected a man who is duly equipped
To fight, to destroy to overcome evil
To use American force to defend her people

The enemy believes that we are Great Satan
That the nation under God deserves to be hated
In Fallujah today, the enemy will perish
In Iran tomorrow, the mullahs will vanish

Freedom to people
Rights under God
Pray for our troops, death to Allah!

The one true God is Jesus our Lord
May his blessing rain down for evermore

So true and I like the poem. These appeasers would soon rather see America fall than take a stand for her. Did you see the map that Mikey Moore created on his joke of a website? As a resident of Illinois, that would make me a Jesuslander in exile in the United States of Canada. I hope all these libs leave the country and on top of that renounce their citizenship so that they can't vote. That right there would solve alot of problems.

We are witness to the last desperate gasp of a dying ideology. Libs see the end is near and can do nothing but whine about it. Remember, they did their best and lost. We are beginning to see the seeds of conservative thought germinate in Europe as well. First it hits the pocketbook (like the French 35-hour workweek, expensive social programs, corrupt government), then the broader factors are re-examined, like unemployment and competitiveness.

Socialism is a dying ideology, to be sure (statist socalism, as opposed to the idea of some form of welfare net)...

...But liberalism, a dying ideology? In many areas, such as minority rights, expansion of individual liberties, globalization of trade...

Liberalism is the one transcendent ideology of history.

What you see on the rabid, inflexible Left represented by such groups as International ANSWER does not qualify as, nor constitute, liberalism per se. That is an odd breed of paranoia and counterculturalism, which has led to my basic governing philosophy of politics:

"When Michael Moore and Pat Buchanan agree, something is terribly, terribly wrong."
