Can a staff member of a CN newspaper please post a copy your publication's constitution? I'm working to create a conservative publication at The University of Southern Indiana and could alleviate some of my workload by using an existing constitution as a model.

Thanks,

William G. Crandell Jr.

William:

Here is some information for you. It's not an entire constitution, but its the pertinent wording you'll need. It's the publication part of a larger conservatives club at a school in the northeast.

ARTICLE II – PURPOSE
2.2 [The Conservatives club] shall have a regularly published newsletter, which will hereby be referred to as [The Name Review]

ARTICLE IV – COMPONENTS

4.1.2 [The Name Review] Committee shall consist of the following: Vice-President of [The Name Review]and other club members interested in assisting with the production of [The Name Review].

4.1.2.1 [The Name Review]Committee shall henceforth be known as [The Name Review]Editorial Board.

ARTICLE V – BASIC DUTIES OF EACH COMPONENT

5.1 [The Name Review] Committee shall have the following responsibilities:
5.1.1 To plan and assemble [The Name Review]
5.1.2 To make a budget for [The Name Review]
5.1.3 To report its progress to the Executive Committee and
General Membership

Mission Statement
[The Name Review]is a non-partisan publication dedicated to promoting the
free exchange of ideas in an environment where meaningful debate and
ideological diversity are often lacking. We, its staff, seek to serve the
[College] community by infusing it with the ingredients necessary for a
balanced educational experience. These ingredients include conservative,
libertarian, and classical liberal thought. We aim to find and describe
logical solutions to issues big and small, while adhering to the
Constitution of the United States and all its amendments. We believe that
peace is best achieved through strength, that utopia is nowhere, and that
true equality is blind to race, creed, sex, and sexuality. We take it as
our mission to expose the inadequacies of the leftist ideas that dominate
this University and to articulate an alternative viewpoint. We strive to
inform, engage, and perhaps even amuse our readers in doing so. We invite
the active participation of any student who shares our vision and would
like to join our crusade.

It's a start - if I get more information I'll post it!

Thank you Ender's Shadow. I will use the information you posted. I've also obtained a College Republicans constitution that will help as well. These two sources should be adequate for now. Again, thank you!
