Does it even matter, especially as the validity of Christianity is under increasing attack? Although I don't agree with all the points its author makes, I found this article,Faith and Unreason, interesting.
Should laws even be created based on a religion/morality that is philosophically unsound? |

Our nation has been in existence for over two hundred years. Much of the histroy of her foundaton has been lost to contemporary society. The foundation of the country was indeed laid on the bed rock of the Christian faith. But that Christian faith was quite a bit different than what is promulgated today. The fact that this nation was indeed founded as a Christian nation has been confirmed by court cases, local, state, and Federal. Many of the writings of the founding generation have sustained that position.

An excellant Supreme Court case to review, which sustains the fact that this nation was indeed a Christian nation is the case of Holy Trinity Church v. United States, 143 U. S. 457,471 (1892)
