Being more emphatic about what you view as common sense does not make it any more true. The truths which Christ preached are really very clear on this issue, though you are given the completely free choice to reject it:

Yes, no matter how greusome the scenario, salvation is more important than political freedom.

After all, what is political freedom? The right to do a certain thing or to say a certain thing? Yet we have this right, given by God, which no man can take away. Political oppression cannot take away our freedom, it can only apply punishments to our actions, which are themselves still free. If you are truly committed to acting freely, such punishments should have no effect on you, and indeed even death should be no deterrent, for if it is, then are merely its slave.

So if Salvation is more important than political freedom, is that why Jesus was trying to free the souls of men rather than freeing them from Rome ?

So are you saying that a man who dissents against a tyrant and is thrown into prison is still free in Christ because he is a christian and another man can be politically free and indulging in wine, women and song and yet not be free because he is in bondage to his sins ?

So your saying that freedom in Christ is everything and political freedom is nice but not necessary ?

So your saying that Jesus was saying not to resist tyranny but to free oneself through Jesus Christ because the freedom of the soul cannot be bound by chains or even death at the hands of the tyrant ?

So does that mean it was wrong for the Jews in Palestine to have terrorized the British in trying to get them out of Palestine in order to establish Israel ?

I am not a pacifist, because I believe in what is commonly called "a just war". At this point I will not go into what that intails. But, I do agree with Adam that the free-dom of the soul is more important than being free from tyrants.

All one has to do is look at the examples of Christ and His disciples to see this.
11 of the disciples were martyred and John was exciled on the Island of Patmos.
Looking at their lives after their conversions, you can see that they were freer than before they were oppressed by tyrants.

This is the kind of freedom I desire, how about you?
