Well done, JLS. Some keenly turned phrases get to the pith and problems of this book.

I say nothing particularly new in observing that the chief distinction between conservative conservation and contemporary environmental "activism" is the former's love of, and the latter's distaste for, the human person. I suspect one of the reasons so many persons doubt the credibility of contemporary environmental complaints is the evident origin of their policies in a brain-storming session between otherwise self-involved afficiandos of rock climbing in a tastefully appointed Starbucks -- not a cry of a child to distract them from their indignation.

But I have done. And to you, "well done."
