I was just wondering what you guys thought about this. My roomate constantly sends text messages to everyone (he's a grad student and an RA so he's constantly messaging everyone.) I have never really found a use for it. I even see people play games through it, like Sora. Has anyone played this game before? Its like an online game you download to your phone, kinda like the Sims. Its at soracity.com in case anyone wants to see what i'm talking about. I personally dont see the use in texting unless your gonna use it to play a game like Sora, thoughts anyone?
I don't currently have it or use it, and my husband and I only have one cell phone between us, BUT I could see it as useful if I needed him to pick up some groceries on his way home from work. That way, he would have the list ready and not have to remember what I told him.
Also, haven't you seen the commercials? If you are carpooling with a group of friends and you want to tell someone who you have a crush on without telling everyone by saying it outloud, it could be useful.
It drives me crazy when someone texts me with something like, "What are you doing this weekend?"
What am I supposed to type out:
"I'm getting out of class around 5, going to dinner with Cindy, maybe hit a movie or go out for a walk around 9, what are you doing? Want to tag along?"
