Why in the world is the government attempting to regulate pornography out of existence? It's a profitable industry, just like any other, and one which creates quite a good deal of happiness for its satisfied customers.

And not only that, this legislation looks to potentially impact 'normal' moviemaking as well -- under this law, every Blockbuster clerk might be required to have a copy of Halle Berry's ID and home address on file. Not a good situation to have.


The only real hope for this law not crippling one of America's largest and most successful industries is if it's not enforced. Except the current law, which this seeks to "strengthen", has been used... a grand total of never, according to the linked article.


And all because some government officials feel they know better what you should do in your bedroom (or computer room, or wherever else, thanks to the joys of wireless internet) than you do.
