Hey, all.
I'm new here at this forum, so please disregard any unwitting breach of decorum that I might be perpetrating... Does anybody have experience at OSU? I've taken a campus visit there, and I was impressed (I should get into their honors program, and they are a top school for one of my intended majors, seem to have a good program for my other intended major, and I believe they have one of the larger slavic libraries in the US--that one's for a minor; uh... might be a fit), but I was wondering if anyone knows what kind of atmosphere the university has for intellectual freedom? Thanks very much! |

Hi KCarls,
Here's an article about a campus outrage at OSU - Mansfield http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=54606 I would imagine the atmosphere on the main campus in Columbus would be similar. If you're set on attending a large public university, I can think of five that might be more favorable toward conservatives. Unfortunately, none are in Ohio. You could, however, pay the first year as an out-of state student, gain your residency and pay in-state tuition from then on. The universities are: Texas A&M, University of Mississippi, University of Alabama, Auburn University and Troy University. Good Luck! |
