Hi:
Can someone suggest a good textbook (taking a Conservative/Libertarian view) for an introduction to American Government class? Respectfully, Robert Fast Fort Lauderdale, FL |

Hi Robert,
I don't know if you would consider my suggestion to be written from a Conservative/Libertarian view, but it's likely to give you a good, thorough, unbiased introduction to government. It is "American Government: Institutions and Policies" by James Q. Wilson and John J. DiIulio. James Q. Wilson holds the Ronald Reagan Chair of Public Policy at Pepperdine University and is considered to be brilliant. John J. DiIulio is a professor at the University of Pennsylvania, and appears to be a conservative Democrat who was named by George W. Bush to head the new Office of Faith-based Initiatives. He later resigned due to liberal opposition of his efforts. Good luck!! Stephen Wade Marion, IN |
