Does anyone have any suggestions for people who could come speak at Oklahoma State University? I am the President of Friends of the Forms (Philosophy Club), and in charge of bringing in a lecture every other week for the entire school year. So far I have been scheduling local professors, but I am hoping to have some good conservatives speak. Of course we are working off of a pretty tight budget.
Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks! Dan. SeekingTruthNow@yahoo.com DanBranum.blogspot.com |

Please be sure to email the Lecture Director with your request for a speaker!
rcoffin@isi.org Some good possibilities are: Glenn and Virginia Arbery. They live in Texas, and would probably be willing to come up. ISI's Speakers Encyclopedia is a great source for finding speakers! http://www.isi.org/lectures/speaker_list.aspx best, Rebecca |

Hey Dan! If you asked any of my professors here at Thomas More College, they may be willing to come. Glenn and Virginia Arbery are the parents of 2 of the students here and they used to teach here. My professors, who would be good are Dr. Paul Connell, Dr. Mary Mumbach, and Dr. Peter Sampo. Good luck!

I would recommend searching the lecture section on the ISI website as stated above. I would suggest Dr. Alan Kors as he came to my campus (Illinois College) a year ago and was quite good. Hope this helps.

Ugh! Glenn Arbery is decent, but his wife Virginia is a total nightmare as far as classroom lectures go. She might be better when she prepares, but so far he lectures are tangential, unfocused, and lacking any serious scholarly preparation.
